Ok Paul is trying to get me to use Skype. Anyone else using it.

My buddy met some broad on line from Greece. She moved him in over there with her and he calls me on skype all the time. It is every bit as clear as a cell phone call.

How could you use it for business?

I get the conference call aspect of it.

Do you think it would work out in the field as a way to communicate with employees

I use it as my home phone line for about 3 years now.
You can try it free from computer to computer, then if you want to get a number or call phones cheap just upgrade. Makes a huge difference if you have a good headset (USB).

It costs me $60/year - no other phone line can touch that.
My parents are in Mexico for the winters. We can talk (with video) for free.

Works perfect 99% of the time, Paul keeps dropping for some reason. I'm starting to think he's hanging up on me since suspiciously it's not happening with anyone else.

They also make phones if you don't want to be tied to the computer. There are also apps for Windows mobile, iPhone etc.

Here is the one I use, only complaint I have is only one warning when battery is low. If I miss it, it won't warn me again before shutting off.

Hey, that happens when I talk to Paul to sometimes. I hear cussing and name calling then the line just goes dead...wierd
