Really nice work Owen.
How long have you been there??
Doesn't look like much left to do besides punch out??

Does the side light operate? That's a nice looking kitchen.

MAN, that shower layout looks like a ton of work. Well done.
I really like the head casing detail on the side-lighted door in the kitchen.
Great project.

Yes, the sidelight operates. We wanted to work with the original window header so it made the door an interesting size. We talked about doing fixed sidelights; too skinny. Then double doors of equal size, too skinny. Settled on doing double doors of different sizes, problem solved. :2thumbsup:
Rory,
We acutally finished up almost all of our contract work. We did the whole house top to bottom except for paint and floor refinishing. Extensive plaster repair throughout, tore a few walls out on the second floor etc. Whole house was still knob and tube. 3 inch cast toilet drains were filled solid with rust. and so on and so on.
Took us 3 months up to that point.
Got to the end and the clients let us know they want us to take care of the paint and floor refinishing. :surrender:

Shower was very challenging for me, it stretched my skill level.
Took me a week to do the shower and floor tile. I won't show you too many pics or you'll start finding my mistakes.

Well, you have a masters touch and a good eye for details.
In my opinion that has always seperated the men from the boys:2thumbsup:

Using the Schluter edges made it interesting. I had to cup grind the backside of the tile to get it to lay right over the metal trims.

It photographs really well. That's a nice addition to your portfolio.
(Except for the color difference between the GFCI and the heated floor stat...:laugh3:)

yeah, that does kinda suck. No worries though, the floor stat is going to be replaced by StepWarmfloor's other thermostat model so it will look like somebody stuffed an Atarti 2600 into a gang box. :mad2:

Yup, nice work and all. I just don't think I'd be THAT excited.
Good job, well done.

Very pretty work, Orson! That shower rocks! What's the main field tile? Looks like a polished volcano Travertine, or is it a marble?

Main field tile is polished marble. I can't recall the name of it off the top of my head.

Who did the design for the remodel Owen??
Mainly the clients and myself. They were pretty savvy and very decisive.
Only issues I had was their inclination to stain certain trim pieces in the house.(like that shower wall cap which; I was pushing for stone) It felt awkward to me to have randomly stained pieces, especially in a house that originally had all painted trim.
