What do you guys consider to be the pros and cons of parging a stone foundation wall directly versus fastening lath and parging the lath?

Plan to trowel thoroseal over the parging.

I have done it a few times. I usually use a product call damit and plaster first then apply the thoroseal on top of it

No, the whole thing was a little ridiculous.

The house was not a house I personally would have put money into unless it was to tear it down.

Despite giving the lady ball park estimates on things she still seemed interested, must have sobered up by the time I sent the proposal over and never heard back from her.
