What ya got? Looking to get one. How important is a plumb laser, installing cabinets? I was looking at the PLS 360, it has no plumb. Good accuracy though, for the price.
What are you guys running?

Apparantley mine is now inferior.
The best I have used is one of Hilti's.
I have used a Hilti, David White and a Berger (current) The berger has done me well and seems to live up to it;s accuracy claims.
Never used a PLS.
Heard good things about Stabilia's.

I've never used a laser. Find the high spot, pencils marks off the level...

I looked at the Berger/CTS site and I don't need a laser that bad. Pricey.
Most of my laser uses will be in a single room, so accuracy isn't going to be that critical. 1/4" @ 100' still will be less than 1/16" in a normal size room.
I like the PLS 360 because of no moving parts and 35+ hours of battery life. Price is about $370.

You just want one level line Leo, or one that rotates?

So why would you do it?

The PLS 360 is a rotary laser that doesn't rotate (???:surrender:)

I use PLS180 (http://www.plslaser.com/product_specifications.htm#4), and it's awesome.
It's got plumb and everything I need, but it doesn't do 360.

I have a Stabila LAR250 (http://www.stabila.com/main.taf?p=1,2,1,10)
I wanted a self leveling rotary and figured since I was already talking 800 bucks or more then I wanted all the icing on the cake too.

One time I had to put a stripe around a warehouse on the inside. I had the great idea to put a laser in a scissor lift in the center of the warehouse and me in another lift marking off the walls.
The problem was by the time I got back to where I started the hydraulics had settled and lowered my line over an inch:rolleyes3:
Almost a great idea:grin:

Our crew uses a self leveling rotary. They say it is very accurate and a real time saver.
Kitchensync and I share a Hilti PD 32 laser measure. It is very accurate (+/- 1/16" and has cut measure time at least a third and more. It has a min/max measure for offsets, 2 Pythagorean functions and more. We also use a standard tape for measuring trim etc. but use this 97 percent of the time.
