Anyone have experience with Jeld-Wen
"Siteline Ex" clad windows with
the pre-finished interior side?
This time of year it would be good
not to take the sash out to stain and seal.
TIA.

I have not seen them, but I have Jeld Wen on my home.

I just looked at the Andersen prefinished this week, if your customer is OK with the colors its the way to go.

A lot of people like the pre finished Andersen's.

The Jeld-Wen's are pretty decent windows.

Like Paul said, if the like the colors, go for it.

FWIW, I think the Siteline Ex is
the old Caradco window updated since
Jeld-Wen bought them.
I'm hoping the prices come out a bit better
than Andersen.

Here's what I did, for my house I needed $!9,000 of windows from Marvin.
I got the Jeld Wen on sale at Menards for about $14,000 including a real nice French door (exterior) with upgraded hardware.
Clad, Low-E Argon primed interior.
Saved almost 25%.

Everything is good except when the temp is below 0 degrees the weather stripping isn't as effective.

In the summer it beats Marvin for keeping the house cool.

I went to the National Fenestration site to do a comparison before I bought.

One good thing about Jeld-Wen is their ability to quickly put out a custom product. You need an odd size window, no problem. Ask Andersen and they can do custom, just not all custom and not quickly. I really like the AuraLast series of wood windows. Good to match existing styles.

I had the Andersen rep at my last NARI roundtable meeting this Thursday (now I have a Remodel Crazy roundtable forming), and he showed us the new Andersen custom lines for remodelers.

Very nice window with a couple of new ideas.
Check em out.

Thanks for the dope slap! :laugh4:

I checked Menard, 25% off.
Can't beat their deal with a stick!
I smell a check coming......
