Looks good...as far as those "spots", I think it might have something to due with dust in the air and the light hitting it, but I'm just guessing.
I get the same thing with my small digital camera, but don't seem to get it with the digital slr...but that may be because the slr is only dragged out for the final "finish" pics....:mad2:

Isn't wall to wall floor to ceiling a pain?
Looks good. It is the flash reflecting off the dust in the air.

Looks like great work. Now go back with a decent camera! :2thumbsup:
You need a shot that takes in the whole wall--with the shelves in it.

Owen, that looks great! Is that cherry stained with a walnut color stain?

It's birch plywood on the inside and clear pine for the frames and mouldings, I don't recall the SW stain color off the top of my head, finished with a satin conversion varnish.

Not to be an anal retentive a hole but why didn't you use Birch for the solids?
Availability? cost?

Birch is a pain to work with. Chippy, doesn't stain nice, hard as hell.

But aside from what Leo said
the grain and texture would match.

That stained up nicely for birch. My experiences with birch has lead to blotchy stain. I only use it when we are painting so I think that makes it even more impressive.
