Man that's depressing. I hate to hear about any craftsman having to sell tools to make ends meet.

I gotta say this, I would get rid of everything else first (as far as tools go) before I got rid of the Festools.

Money from selling things will fix the short term, but letting loose of those tools first is just cutting your production and thereby cutting your income.

Speaking of Festool, my brother just spent $375 on a Festool cap for our mother (89th b-day):

I thought it was a new promo. Brother Sandy has a quite a collection of tools, but only one hat. He's promising me a hat for Xmas. What a guy, huh?

I got one hat, the watch and one t-shirt straight from festool.

I bought one hat, door mat and shirt (actually the old lady got them for me for my birthday)

I have gotten a hat and something else from my dealer.
