A post from RCP got me thinking. Who runs Mac's VS PC's for their office. I thought about mac's a few times, I think overall the system is more stable, less vunerable to attacks and easier to navigate.
But
PC's/Windows software dominate the market and is a widely accepted system
Shortage of software for Mac's
Not enough people use them to make the transition smooth or worth doing.
What do you guys think who uses what and why?
Have you been able to find the software you need if you are running a Mac?

As more software goes to open source/web based I think it will be less of an issue. There is construction software for Macs (http://mac4construction.com/) available.
Macs are more user friendly, especially for media integration. Macs are more expensive, but they last longer.

This is one of the obstacles I over came when I signed up for my software that is web based.
Me and my partner live in two different states and believe it our not he runs mac os and I run Windows
One of the reasons I chose the web based program besides its feature set was the ability to run it on any platform and access all the data from any internet connection and not be limited by platforms

Just wanted to throw in that there still remains limitation due to browser versions (using my platform as an example). You have to check compatibilty and not assume it is a given. Over time this will be less and less a concern, but for today it is something that needs consideration.
