So I was just going thru my emails and noticed I received a retraction email from a company about their newsletter which was sent out earlier today which offended some people. Of course I didn't notice the first email until I saw the retraction but thought it was kind of funny that they had to apologize for this.

And here's the retraction:

:rolleyes3: Seriously people, if you are getting offended by stuff like this, I hope you aren't planning on watching the Super Bowl commercials this weekend.

I knew what would be the problem only because you mentioned there was going to be the retraction.

I really don't see the offense, I mean, go on the beach and see what you see.

hehe...a stereotypical male writer...should have thought before hand that most of the readers of a home improvement newsletter are going to be women!

If you are an NKBA member, check some of the stats and articles in the member area. Women really do seem to be the controlling force in home improvement projects. Especially on high end work.

We(men) seem to have input only in the design of the bathrooms. Kitchens are off limits.:laugh3:

It was probably pulled due to insecurity.

Did you ever notice that whenever a pervert is reported to be in a certain area on the news, that most the women who are interviewed and "fearing for their safety" are "probably extremely safe" from being targeted? (was that PC enough?)

they got complaints from a couple tubby bon bon eating housewives that were pissed they don't look like her. I am going to write them and tell them I am offended by them pulling it and ask for the blonde's number :laugh3:

Shelly's apprentice had a "WHOOPS!" moment yesterday too. One of their repeat travel clients that likes to flirt (a Shriner no less) was giving blood at the Red Cross when the apprentice called him with information for his trip to Canada.

Well as you know when giving blood they have you squeeze those tension balls to make the blood flow better.... at the end of their conversation about the trip she tried to sound encouraging and innocently said "now you Keep squeezing your balls" ..............

He said "what???????" as she realized what she had just said and cool as can be she responded "keep drinking your orange juice" :laugh3::laugh3::laugh3::laugh3:

We are still laughing about it yet today. I told her there will be a line of Shriners at the door this morning ready to book with the blonde, dirty talking travel Consultant with the sweet innocent voice.

That's it, I am going to install a nice set of boobies on the front of my house!!

If it didn't have that woman, I would not have even started reading it.

How do you know the writer wasn't a woman? I'm no judge of man hotttieness but the dude jogger isn't fat and ugly or anything.

Obviously the tone suggests a male writer.

Personaly I would not put that ad out because I would consider it too risky to offend, however, anyone who has nothing more important to do than complain about that ad needs to get a life.

Do people whatch those ads? I almost clicked on the links before I realized they lad to some kind of ad. Ads are a form of brainwashing, so I steer clear of all ads and read when any show has a break of some sort. Then, I miss the first minute or two when the program resumes.
