Does it exist? I got a call today and the lady was REAL short with me when I got to explaining it... do I have to do everything prior to April 22nd? I have NOT taken the class, will at the beginning of the month.. wanted to wait to see what all changes prior to me spending the money.

The EPA in the Renovate Right Brochure

Even before contractors are required to be certified
and follow specific work practices, the contractor
should follow these three simple procedures,
described below:

LOL i thinks Sean is dizzy from having to be the spokesman for this thing all the time.

Anyway, you give them the brochure, and get a signed document stating that they received it. You were supposed to have been doing this already. If you start her job before D-day and don't finish then you are supposed to halt all work until your certified.

Thanks Blue :laugh3:

Sorry Nate - I misread your question - Blue is correct (Cert Firm & CLR), but you might also run into a "scared" customer wanting you to do all the steps required before the 22nd

If you start a project where you will still be disturbing said paint after the 22nd, I would recommend starting all the steps at the start of the job.

If you have all the lead dust producing part of the job done before April 22nd you will be fine. These rules only apply during that portion of the project. Once your demo or sanding or whatever it may be is done, you go back to doing business as usual.

Yeah blue, I haven't worked on many pre 78 homes. A bulk of where I live are post 78.

Thanks. That is what I was thinking. I am going to be speaking with her again tomorrow.
