A fire took down this Historic Church in San Jose early this morning. The block has several abandon buildings and houses that were in the planing stages for restoring. What a shame!:mad:

Got a little more on this from the person that brought it to my attention. Apparently a developer has been trying to get a permit for the demolition of the church and the surrounding homes that are over 100 years old so they can build a high rise condo unit there. They've been getting some resistance from local and State Historical Societies. All of the sudden POOF, up in smoke!

Can you say free demo???
