I just saw Ed's pictures of the faux thatched roofs and it is great. Typing text is very sterile for the most part as we humans live for the visual.

I sincerely believe........sorry, wrong competition.

I really think we should add pics whenever we can in these posts. Someone talks about his truck, get a picture up. That house on the lake with the weird roof you went to look at; take pics and put them up in the thread when you post. How much more interesting would the threads be with pictures.

Now there are some limits, of course. The pictures of the brothel Modern painted last month may not be appropriate.

My next reno. Yeah, I wish!

Sounds like a great idea if my computer illiterate self can figure out how.

What do you need to know? I am freshly literate and remember the frustration of not knowing. I'm no expert now, but at least I can go find smileys and put them on, upload pics from my computer, and even manipulate photos. :2thumbsup:

Ok then. We're playing with a new program to add text to pictures. We found a nest in an attic space of a recent roof job and here is the result.

See how easy that was? Now we know what an eagle looks like. http://www.thescubasite.com/smile/animals/animal0045.gif (http://www.thescubasite.com/Scuba-Diving-Techniques/learn-underwater-videography)

Thanks for the compliment Mike.

I think it is so darned cool for my prestige factor that I can lay claim to being one of the few roofing contractors ANYWHERE, that has done jobs so unique like that.

What help do people need to know how to post photos?

My way was easy on that thread, because I just linked to several old posts, but it really is quite simple for a newbie. I have instructions written as a Stick in the roofing Section of DIYchatroom.com, so I wil copy and paste those here for general usage information.

Posting pictures does seem daunting at first but once you get the hang of it, it is pretty easy. I think we are cultivating a group of fairly tech-savvy contractors on RC.
