This is the John A. O'farrell house.
They were one of the first settlers in Boise and built this cabin (http://www.cityofboise.org/Departments/Parks/ParksAndFacilities/Parks/page16250.aspx) in 1863.
In 1892 John had his home (http://www.waymarking.com/waymarks/WM2MED_OFarrell_John_A_House__Boise_ID) built right next to the original cabin.

We did most of the interior over the Winter and in the course of talking to the owners I had mentioned the RRP rule coming in April. After walking it with them and going over the increased cost to contain the lead paint we decided to try and paint it before the deadline.

The exterior was in decent shape, but still needed quite a bit of scraping and prep in general. The old paints were definitely oil based as you can see by the way it was cracking, but they were still attached pretty tight.

I decided the best thing to do was seal up the cracks with Kelly-Moores' Kel-Bond, which is the same thing as XIM's Peel Bond. We rolled in on so we could work it into the cracks.

We decided to keep with the colonial revival style colors which were all white with green trim on the windows. I tried to talk them into doing the dentil mold in the green and the corbels in something else but they liked the cleanliness of the white.

Hers a couple of pics of the cabin. If you look over the silver car you can see the back side of the house.

The 3rd floor dormers were a hassle, but a couple of roof jacks and fall protection made it a little less scary.
Nice view of the capital.

And a couple pics of the finished product.

Kelly-Moore's Acry-Shield pure white on the body and Benjamin-Moore's Essex Green on the trim.

I've got a few Brock but I'm having trouble finding them. I'll try to dig them up.

Cool, I love them old ones. We don't get to build like that.
