When I was in the union it was a painters and taping (plaster) union so I learned both. I don't care to hang rock and I usually am more money since I can't hang it as fast as the of the local immigrants that do it :)

I was just observing a paint forum where a bunch of professionals discovered that letting your gc buy you super spec eggshell in a deep red is not a good idea. A wallpaper guy was deeply involved in the discussion. It was like a dream only I know it was real because out of about a dozen posters, not one had the sense to ask the question fundamentally wrong with the situation, and that is this:

WHY ARE YOU LETTING YOUR GC PURCHASE THE PAINT?

Well it has slowed down there a lot and a little boring at times right now. It is a shame really. I think that a new cycle of posters will come as they always do. They pretty much have to because the same people can only talk about the same issues so many times. That is why PWG rarely posts I think.
As far as the vocal minority? Well there are still ripples in that little pond from when you two jumped out. I think Tooled left he can't stand hacks and unskilled posters. WG seems pretty unhappy with the content. We all miss watching you two chase Bill around.

I agree, Chris. Its good that we bury this dirty laundry in a Hello thread. Its obvious that no one came over here to broadcast an angrily titled mean thread. The reality is, this is the first time that we all have crossed paths in a forum in a while, like a month, which when you are used to shooting the breeze and bouncing ideas together for a year or two, a month is an eternity! Clearly, several us are open to the idea of a better forum experience.
