A tree.:mad2:
I had a friend that has a portable band saw.
He cut a bunch of ash a couple years ago. This has been stacked and stickered in his pole barn for that whole time.
Loaned him some my prescious tools and he gave me all the lumber I need for my flooring and trim.
Thinking about building my cabinets out of it as well, not sure.

Wide plank for sure at least 8", random width was what I intended on doing but, I could save a bunch of layout and messing around if I stuck to one wide width.
I am planning on face nailing it and still being able to see some of the rough sawing in the finished floor.

That's really cool. My brother did that with the maple trees he cut down on his property. Turned out beautiful.
I should call him and turn him on to this site. He owns a cabinet shop. Does beautiful work.

There is truely only one thing that my brothers would bring up to embarase me. And even that doesn't make me blush anymore.
Been a pain in the a$$ since the day I was conceived. They deal with it.
