Juan never made it to the roof deck. He managed to skin the lower exterior decks with T&G plywood, the temporary minimum covering necessary for the C of O.
As explained to me by the clients later, ol' Juan then proceeded to get stumped as to how to get the Ipe on the balcony and roof decks without it being higher than the adjacent door thresholds (the original problem that started the firefight between the archy and me), and he upped his price and did a dick-dance over the money so the clients gave him the bum's rush.

The HOs were out of money anyway. And sadly, they separated shortly after moving into the new house. Looks like it will go up for sale soon or be foreclosed. The property never got landscaped either. Still has some sandpiles in the yard.

Damn sad stories all over the place.
