Who's got one? Did you build it yourself or have it done?
I'm thinking about having one made for my page, but curious to hear any experiences good or bad.
Len, have you done any of these?
Here's a site that makes them. Some neat examples with video, links, etc.

They do custom FB banner graphics, YouTube channel backgrounds, Twitter backgrounds, etc. as well.

This is cool but its the last straw for me.
I can't continue doing all this stuff myself and I don't even want to take the time to work with and outside source for this. Like the song-Its geting, its getting, its geting kinda hectic.

I have not done a custom facebook landing page. Seems like it should be pretty straight forward.

I have done some YouTube and Twitter backgrounds.

I hear ya Blue! I've pretty much whittled it down to FB. I do miss the the flow of tweets, but I spent too much time just going off in tangents, interesting, but not productive.
Chris, I have seen a few pages with those, and some with a pop up that you had to like the page before entering. My first instinct was " I am being marketed to" and I wanted to click away from the page.
But I can see where a well designed page filled with pictures of some of your work might do just the opposite, and draw someone in.

I don't like pages that expect you to "LIKE" them first either.
I click on almost every single time.

remember when you"Like" something it informs your personal circle of it. So if you go to a page entitled "Homo apparel" and press "like" your mom is informed of it imediately.

Sounds like you learned that the hard way! Has mom accepted it yet?;)

Chris you have more going on with your FB pages than anyone I've come across so it seem to me it would be well worth it to invest in a service to design one for you.
For myself I'd rather just keep stealing links from your FB page to put on mine, beats surfing the web.

I've read the equivalent of 1000 book pages in the last few nights on this. What did I find out?
A landing page is essential. I found it easy to do. If you have your graphic ready you simply host it on photobucket, wordpress, or in your website somewhere, etc. then insert the code and title the page tab.
However........
In May FB removed the ability for small businesses to set their landing page as a default setting unless you have more than 10,000 fans or have your page "authenticated". One way to get the authentication is to work with a live FB ad rep. This is a step I am taking tommorow morning. Contacting a FB ad rep. This should be fun...its a fairly large outfit. I will report back my findings.
Note: Dave/Ryan please stay out of this.
