Who's going?

Is Silvertree speaking? When, where?

Anyone have details on the lead based paint certification at this show?

Do I need to be a member of NARI or something in order to attend?

I do "Hot Kitchen, Or Not" 10am October 27. Also will do a half hour on Sex and Remodeling.

Runs 4 days.
I have also been asked to do a Roundtable on social networking, specifically on blog writing.

I am not a professional speaker, so I'm nervous. But I'll give it my best.

Modern, I will need you to sit in the front row next to the hall monitor.

A helpful public speaking tip:
I find it takes the edge off
if you get drunk first.

Paul,

Do you get Guest Passes for your Roadies to the NARI show when you are speaking there?

I have lots of left over roofing boots and shoes that the audience could use.

I will burn some DVD's of The Paul singing so we can hand them out at the show.
I can get Warner to run up and down the parking lot selling bootleg Silvertree shirts untill security runs him off.

The national average is 4 minutes. We'll have to start calling you Smiling Paul.

The show has many experienced and engaging speakers, I'm the "New" guy in that crowd. Already they are busting my chops.

I hope to have a Remodel Crazy hard hat before I start.
I don't duck as fast as I did 30 years ago, so someone with a good pitching arm will bean me every time.

In general my topic is how to add pizazz when working with a modest budget. Most remodels are done on the lower end, but many are great looking jobs and deserve attention as much as high end work.

I'm all for the regular guys and gals, the unsung heroes of our business.

By the way HomerJ, I noticed we missed one of your questions - no you don't need to be a member of NARI, etc... to get in

This one is presented by Hanley Wood, and even the IBS, KBIS, etc... don't require membership to gain access (you might get cheaper rates - but that's it)

I will tell them I know The Paul, that should grant me free access, it didnt work when I tried it at McDonalds to get an extra Happy Meal toy, but I have faith that one day it will.
