Hurricane Earl strengthens to Category 4 storm

MIAMI – The National Hurricane Center says Earl has strengthened into a Category 4 hurricane with winds near 135 mph (215 kph) as it moves away from the Virgin Islands.

Earl is on a path that could brush the coast of the U.S. later in the week, though it's too early to tell exactly where it will go.

I am a bit wary of the path that is predicted for this hurricane. The wide swath, prediction of error, has the eye going over central Connecticut. Been a long time since we had a full force hurricane come across Conn, not looking forward to anything like that.

The prediction is to have the eye stay far enough away that we might get showers from it on Friday. Hope that's all we get.

Can you build some custom boats, just in case? I would like mine out of teak please

Sure, no problem. Teak is about $30/bd ft. Pony up buddy.

Great, just what I need. Trying to get 500 feet of footers poured, walls up and stripped, by Saturday. All in a swale. :censored:

I think you may want to change your plans a bit. :surrender:
