Seriously, I have a business library and read.
Many of you do also, I may just start a group for exchanging book tips.
We could buy, sell or trade. We could review. A lot of options.
Rigjt now I would like to get a Larry Winget book because he seems to have that direct no BS approach to what he believes.

Look for the book club soon, either a group or a sub forum.

Any opinions just post.

That is a great idea - especialy with the flat rate shipping boxes the USPS has now.

Priority Mail

A simpler way to ship.

Take the guesswork out of shipping with Priority MailŪ Flat Rates. Whatever fits in the box or envelope ships for one low rate—anywhere in the United States. There's virtually no weighing or calculating. And your packages reach their destination in 2-3 days.

Has anyone read "How Fit Is Your Business"

I would love to hear a review

I'll post a dozen books and get the ball rolling.

Even trade, temporary or whatever.
To start with I have a copy of E-Myth revisited of 2 that I would swap for a Larry Winget book.

I know this is not strictly business but...

If you love your dog like a family member, try "Merle's Door"

Best darn book about an outdoorsy man and his dog.

Of course it ends with water works.

Naptown, I have that book. In fact, we went to a Hanley-Wood conference a while back and that was one of the subjects. The book is a great way to take the temperature of your business but what you do with the reading makes it worth it or not.

Paul I have all the e myths books but I'll trade you a bag of your freshest Joe for Larry Winget book. Deal?

What's the point of a used coloring book Paul? :)
Anyone interested in trashy beach novels? I read a book a day on vacay. I will have many.

And all this time I thought Jesse thought Larry the Cable Guy was deep.

Many thanks to Len for directing me to this thread...

In a rare moment of forced relaxation I'm delving into an interesting book over the New Year. As I read it I find myself thinking about the crazies (contributors to RC) and wondering if would be interested in a good book by Matthew Crawford called "Shop Class as Soul Craft".

It's reflective and written with the RC audience in mind - for the craftsperson, metaphysicist, professional, hard-nosed business, psychologist, philosophers, and motorcycle mechanics.

Hope you enjoy it.

Mike

I'd be interested in that.

The Paul,

Happy to send it your way as soon as I'm done with it. I've been invited to a "book discussion" with a few local lads to wrangle over the book and its higher meaning...picture Chili and beer, a brief discussion to determine who actually read it...then more beer and chili...man night!

In any event, that happens on the 10th. As soon as the hangover subsides I'll send it your way via UPS.

Cheers,

Mike:mad2:

Does anybody read on the PC? If anybody's interested I can create a list of what I have to share.
