Qualified Remodeler is compiling a list of the Top 500 remodelers. A newsletter was sent extending the deadline. You can get some great exposure if you qualify. I would suggest you email the contacts to make sure the submissions are still be accepted, which was extended as of the email I received during the week of August 17, 2009.

Note: they did ask for my accountant's verification of the information that I provided. It's on the website but I just wanted to stress it before you fill out the application.

The website address is qualifiedremodeler.com/forms/top500/

Most of the numbers on there are lies

Don't ask how but I know

The statement is too ambiguous to be able to say that you know this magazine is lying. They are a genuine organization, and as far as I am aware, the magazine is making an effort to have a company's accountant validate the claims of their clients. Of course the accountant can be lying too, but that is a lot of integrity on the line for a relatively nothing-to-gain topic other than getting on an industry list. But if you can expose something very specific, than that would be interesting to hear. Brian

I did not mean to knock QR I have knowledge of contractors who have fudged the numbers to get there

I completed my submission about 4 weeks ago.

The temptation is certainly there to fudge your numbers up a little and I wonder about the follow-up/verification. I don't remember being asked for my accountants name and so far I don't believe anyone has contacted my references.

I wonder if they're having a hard time coming up with 500 remodelers since they've extended the deadline. There are certainly a lot fewer of us around than there were last year.

I did not mean to knock QR I have knowledge of contractors who have fudged the numbers to get there That I can totally understand, and that is why I am happy that are requesting for an accountant to verify ... at least from what I heard. My instinct is that it will become more important when they are trying to decide among two different companies who, on the surface, look like equal sized companies. In the long run, really doesn't matter unless they hit over 500 submissions. Thanks for clarifying since your reply was what I was thinking. Take care. Brian

My suggestion is to just reach out to them to ensure all is OK. Never know who can come and go in a month and I would suggest ensuring you get your chance without having something slip through the cracks, especially since you took the time to submit all the information. Brian
