Skype just release a new mobile version of their video chat software for the Iphones..
I thought this commercial for it was kind of cool. Looks like the hired OG and Blue to dance for them..

Yeah, but only the fourth generation iPhone does the video chat doesn't it? When the fourth iPhone came out, I thought I heard someone say "Oh, you can do video chat with it"
My nieces all got iPod Touches for Christmas. And they were all using video chat with them, it wasn't Skype though, it was some other app, may have came with the device. I don't think it was Skype, but I don't remember.

The apple video chat is currently wifi only. Skype app allows 3g video chat too plus wifi calling. Also works on 3gs, though camera is only on back.

Which generation iPhone is that? When each iPhone came out, if I remember right, the major upgrades for each one were:
2nd: 3g network
3rd: 3g network with video capability
4th: 4g network with video and video chat capability

3g(s) was last phone before iphone4.
The 3g only got video and MMS with recent firmware update, but it slowed the phone down.
Iphone4 doesn't have '4g' network, 3g is as good as it gets for now.

I have been using tango for about 3 weeks now..
I am surprised how well it works after the last update. I was just telling Chris about it a couple of days ago..
I wonder how well they will do when Skype launches for Android?

Looks pretty cool, but do I really want to know what I'm ordering off the menu or just keep going with it tastes good?

:laugh3: Not sure how I missed this back in December but I'm just glad they didn't catch my backside. I had to get rid of the baby blue skivvies, my wife said they weren't so sexy with the brown racing strip. And Blue...I think yellow is a good color for you but put a damn hat on man. You're killing me. :smash:

Check out BuildCalc app.
It's similar to the construction master calculator, only sweeter.
It's 20 bucks, but worth it in my opinion.
You can do a stair calculation and it will generate a .pdf print of the stringer pattern with a button to email it..... :2thumbsup:

There are few. Standard with iPhone 4 and 4s is "FaceTime"
I am not sure if that is available of iPod, but there are other software programs.
Skype is International, I would say about 80 million people have it.
Another great one is Tango, it automatically shows you who on your phonebook has Tango app, so you can video call them. Cool app and easy to use.

I have an iPhone 3gS but am looking to get the new iPhone 4 very soon. Why are people using Skype when the phone comes with FaceTime? I guess as long as I am using wi-fi I can continue using FaceTime? I find it odd that a video-chat app works better than the video-chatting that comes with the phone.
My favorite app, however, has nothing to do with video chatting or skyping or even talking to other people. I play Fruit Ninja multiple times a day. Many people are obsessed with Angry Birds, I was never a fan. Fruit Ninja is my "go-to"

Clinometer application...
There are a couple of freebies out there that are very accurate inclinometers (angle finders ) but I have found the Clinometer app to be particularly handy when my level is not close at hand, but the phone is.. Also great for laying flat on a surface ( like a table ) that you are adjusting to be level.
