Been doing some reading up on both of these, which is a better platform?

I like features on both. And have seen some REALLY impressive features for both. Just not knowing what to use. I think I have installed both on my control panel at the webhost.

I would like any and all feedback on these two to help me deside. I may have to create a site with both and weigh it that way :( Alot of work, but how else you going to do it?? :)

I had found several websites when I was googling about the best CMS ...

I remember a couple that compared WP vs Joomla, and I remember WP coming out on top (even though both can be very good)

Both are very good.
I prefer Wordpress because it fits the needs of most of my clients better.

Joomla has a steeper learning curve, but is better in some areas like ecommerce and more precise user role management (for multiple author sites)

Wordpress has a simpler plugin system and theming system.

If you search for wordpress vs joomla there are plenty of articles with the pros and cons. Try to find ones written by developers that have used both for a less biased opinion.

I agree with Len, I have sites on both. But I get support from school for Joomla (http://firefly.sedck12.org/index.php/managing-your-joomla-site), so any time i have a question, I have someone to ask.

Once you get the hang of the way Joomla works, it isn't too bad.
Wordpress is much easier though.
