I've got my first Bamboo floor install caming up. What seems to work the best for fastening to a wood subfloor?

I've never put it down before. I haven't even ordered it yet. Customer of mine want to put it in Kitchen and Living Room. I've heard it a tough wood to mechanically fasten. I just finished an Asian Walnut floor and it wasn't bad with the Bostich Pneumatic Stapler except for the knots. Just wondering how Bamboo is.

Structions? We dont need no stinking Structions!!! :laugh3:

That stuff is as hard as a brick bat! Maybe get a sample and take it home and test it with the nailer?

I like to glue it down. But 99% of the flooring down here is laid on concrete slab subfloor or Light weight concrete subfloor toping?!

No, still a month or so out. (Customer waiting on a bonus check.)
It's 650 sf net. They picked out Mohawk Brand. 3/8" thick strand woven carbonized bamboo. 5" wide.

I agree with Nap, everything you need to know is in or on the box and the manufacturers' website. Install according to their directions and any future problems are theirs.

Good quality bamboo is harder than some hardwoods, not so good stuff seems to scratch if you stare at it too long.

Good Luck
Dave

While reading the directions I am sure will be obvious to him.. Sometimes getting feed back about a product and installation techniques from others that have installed before it is helpful..

Finding out tips or things to look out for could help him get a leg up or things to look out for before he starts..
