At least there are so many aging Baby Boomers now that there are products galore to help us cope.

For instance, I just bought a pair of bi-focals specifically designed for pistol rifle shooting.

One more thing I guess I have grab for if someone breaks into my house at night. Otherwise, I might kill the living room couch.

I would shoot my couch if I thought I could blame someone else.

I'd shoot my couch if I thought I could get a new for free.

When I lived in Vermont I was party to careless and dangerous firearm displays performed by intoxicated participants.

It was a lot of fun, and thinking back, we got drunk, but never pointed a loaded gun at each other, if you did that you were gone from the group.
But we shot up everything else you could point at.

I'm ashamed to admit I have participated in some gunplay that I would not even think of doing now. Same thing, no pointing loaded guns at anybody, but damn, alcohol and guns don't mix under any circumstances.

I'm a maniac about gun safety now. I report people at the range all the time when they aren't observing NRA range rules and guidelines. I don't like seeing the muzzle of handgun getting swept around, even if it's "unloaded".

How messed up is this: At two of the indoor ranges I frequent, you can no longer rent a gun if you are alone, and have not brought your own gun to the range as well. Each of the ranges has experienced suicides in the past couple of years.

Makes sense, don't own a gun? Go the range, show your driver's license, rent a .44 Magnum and go on to the firing line and off yourself.

I went to the range a couple of years ago, 3 woman come in and have rented a couple of 38's to have some fun. They put the MAN target up and proceed to shoot the guys crotch out laughing like hyenas. The whole thing made me nervous.

Then a guy sets up and takes a huge revolver out of a box, puts on his gear a pops a round into a target, biggest boom I ever heard. I don't know what it was, but I was told it was much more powerful than a 44 magnum.

I don't care for the city gun range, its all gang bangers now.

Yeah, Bodg, they have Depends for men now, in different sizes just like Huggies for kids. Now that's sad.

That would be a great theme for a "Divorce Party". They make bullet-proof vests, do they make bullet-proof cups now too?

I took a 357 through the chest in a shooting accident six months after I got out of the service. Best friend was mishandling the gun. I'm probably the safest person you'll see when handling a gun. Still go shooting once in a while and I'm very selective with who I go with. Yeah go figure :laugh3:.Three giggling women with guns ? I'm gone.

:laugh4: I thought this was going
to be about aging in place remodels. :rolleyes3:

Timely none the less.
I just did three 10-12 hour days
stripping decks for re-staining.
Surprise, surprise!
Using the time info from 4 and 5
years ago, I under estimated by
@ 50% my on time.
i.e. what took 6 hours five years ago
took me 9+ hours this week. :rolleyes3:

Some how, I don't think I'll be re-doing
these in another five years......:laugh4:

Old people make less money. It's a socio-economic fact.

Look at the bright side, as that kind of slowing-down continues, we can get a small deck job and have a whole year booked! YAY!
