Source for RJ-45 connector ends with LED light in them?

Putting together the rest of the surveillance stuff and want to know if there is a source for RJ-45 connectors with little LED lights in them.. When I run the cat5 through the attic I want to be able to see if they are connected or if there is an issue by having the ends light up like some power cords do. Would save a ton of time should there be any problem with the system.

Anyone know if they make such a thing?

I don't think they sell any that will tell you about the connection. They do make so for identifying the cable from either end.

Here is what you need to test the cables.

HOTDAMN! I had no idea that Cat6 must be something! When I was going through school for IT they were just getting to Cat5e. I wonder if I can get some of those ends? Or is cat 6 a different connector?

I will have to google it.

Nope same - They have been around for a while. All of them in my home have been cat6 for probably 6+ years and bought off the shelf at the local electronics store.

What is the general difference between category 5e and category 6?

The general difference between category 5e and category 6 is in the transmission performance, and extension of the available bandwidth from 100 MHz for category 5e to 200 MHz for category 6. This includes better insertion loss, near end crosstalk (NEXT), return loss, and equal level far end crosstalk (ELFEXT). These improvements provide a higher signal-to-noise ratio, allowing higher reliability for current applications and higher data rates for future applications.
