0 % Credit Card Offers Coming Back? Are The Strings Loosening Up?
0 % Credit Card Offers Coming Back?

In the past week, I have received 3 offers from Capital One CC with 0 % on purchases until September 2010.

I haven't received any for around 8-12 months until now.

Is this a sign of the Credit Card Banking Industry starting to loosen up the strings a little bit?

I am not going to get these, (Well, If They Were Balance Transfer Accounts I Would), but I just wanted to take the pulse of the Industry, So To Speak.

What offers have started to come forth to you recently?

Is that different than the past 8-12 months as in my case?

I don't get offers since I have Life Lok which stops almost all junk mail.

I've received two offers in the last couple of weeks. One was from CitiBank.
Same thing, 0% interest until 2010. And the interst rate then goes only to 13.9%.

Of course, they are still up to their old usory tricks. Read the fine print and find that if you happen to go over your credit limit, or late even one hour on a payment, the interest rate goes up to some astronomical point of 30% plus.

And they can probably just raise it at will whenever they want anyway once the 0% expires.

One thing I did when times were good was wipe out all of my credit card debt. Never again. I don't owe those bastards a penny. I use my AMEX and pay it off every month.

Ironically, the CC companies refer to customers who don't carry a balance as "deadbeats".

I don't need credit, I need income.
