My vacation starts this week to the Smokey Mountains for The Shades Of The Past Rod Run and I can't wait.

So where does the rest of the contractor world go on vacation?

Plus how many vacation a year do you take?

Now if I can find that darn walking stick.

At least a few days a month mostly stay home.
Two weeks every year in Maine.
Try for a week midwinter in someplace warm but economics haven't been that good the past year or so.

Rv every summer in Maine for 1 week, However this year family went I had a job going on so I got the shaft on vaca.

Deep into the wilderness is the best vacation for me. If you don't bring it with you, or find it when you get there, it's not going to be there. And no people.

That's why my vacation companions are usually my dogs.

I do the same thing Camping with my SC country gal. One of us is coming back home with dinner over our shoulders. :grin:

I go to Misquamicut, RI ever year come hell or high water. I guess the only thing that would keep me from going there would be a hurricane.

When I go there I try like hell to do nothing. Just sit on my duff and relax. Usually I end up riding my bicycle with my DSLR and take wildlife and landscape photos. A few drinks here and there and the game room and ice cream.

I had a job that might have interfered with my vacation. I put a stipulation in my contract that I would be gone for that week. I got the majority of the job done before I left on my vacation so it didn't matter anyway.

I get/take one week a year and I'm damned if work is going to interfere.
