View Full Version : The Future of Webinars
Absolute Basements

We've taken a break from webinars for a couple weeks, due to busy schedules, a platform that isn't necessarily the best for bringing the webinars to you guys, and quite frankly, some low attendance numbers.
I'm gonna throw this out to everyone.
What would you like to see for future webinars?
Chris and I talking more about sales? (Which we both really enjoyed..)
The actual sales call?
Presentations?
Company positioning?
Estimating?
Follow up?
Guest speakers on relevant topics?
Lets hear some quality feedback so we can sort this out and get on track.

Pricing for profit?

Michael Stone has the best info on that, to my knowledge.
We could certainly go into calculating costs, break even point,
markup and the like.
Any one else?

Ummm, I'll defer to CDub on those....:surrender:
I have my stuff running well, but I really am more of a specialty contractor.
A lot of what I do is repetition.

I'm still interested in what you got in your presentation packs and how you use them...I know you've got a yard sign agreement that you are protecting like Afkama protects his identity.

The nuts and bolts of production management, overall business systems, making the move of hiring staff, leads. PM office manager etc.
And what Rory said.

I second this. Marketing and sales are the least of my issues right now, and I feel that I've got a fair handle on estimating.
Scheduling has always been my weakest link.
Project management
Production efficiencies
Client communications and web management
Cost tracking systems
Quality control
What I am really looking for are ways to cut my overhead costs while at the same time get more out of my management process.

I like the management avenue, developing systems is one of my weak points. I know how to do the job, but putting it on paper so the system makes the decisions for you is different.

I believe we'll need to look for some outside speakers for a lot of this.

I highly recommend The Remodeler’s Turnkey Program (http://turnkeyprogram.com/index.php/free-samples)

I watch quite a few recorded webinars from Market Sharp (http://www.marketsharp.com/daveyoho/) - maybe you can copy their system. Watching one right now with Dave Yoho (http://www.screencast.com/t/coYvwsg6XJ)

I'd like to see more on technology; one on Google Sketchup, and one on Elms in regard to templates and costbooks. And then everything you can on marketing and sales. As for the attendance, if you can make them later in the day then I can probably attend more. The three hour time difference makes it hard for people on the west coast when you have them at 4:00 or 5:00 eastern time. Also, if you could post the recordings, that would be cool. Even if no one showed up at the webinar, you could think of it as a podcast.

This doesn't relate to the topic at hand but is there any way we can get a better way to get at the previously recorded webinars, or is it already here somewhere?
I chase threads in circles trying to find the recordings to no avail.

Maybe we could use the Hangout feature on Google +. Seems pretty easy to use. No phone #'s to mess with.
