What brand or specific tool would you like to see reviewed?

Depend's on who's doing the reviewing.

I would say something that is 'really' something new or better, from who ever.

Maybe even some odd ball things that you thought about but, didn't really know much about it.

I need a better shovel, my hands don't fit around mine very well at all.

That's not it, I'm thinking real reviews, not endorsement deals.
With real reviews you drive the tool till it overheats, you drop, leave it in the rain, run over it with your truck, lend it to the apprentice.

I dropped a sandcat into a 5 gal bucket of paint, that smoked that tool.
We need to get about 200 members and I think we might get a couple of tool wars going.
Getting revenue from a tool company would help pay for the site but it won't happen anytime soon.
So we are planning reviews, just not those super friendly ones on other sites.

Why not have members do the tool reviews?

We use this stuff in the field for years and could review a specific tool that we have experience with as opposed to someone using 10 of the same type of tool for 5 minutes each and thinking they know which one is better.

Why don't you come up with a downloadable "tool review submission form" so that the review is structured, then members can submit review, you can edit them for format or kick them back for more information before you post them?
