Will not being connected socially have a bigger impact in the near future?

Specifically with Google +1 buttons. They are definitely already using it in their results pages. With stats already showing in your webmaster tools account. I can see RC's content being +1'ed

Google is shuffling the results based on your social circle when you're logged in - that's not really news they've been doing that for a while, but now they are basing it on your Google+ connections and frankly that's going to change the results dramatically - being connected to lots of people will get some of your shared content seen by more folks.

Below are the stats for RC's +1 content and my results while logged in for 2 searches. 'interior remodel' and 'exterior remodel'.

I think the social validation aspect will be big, if I am searching for something and see someone in my social circle has shared it, you know I am going to be asking their opinion!

I guess it comes back to having original content where people want to come. They +1 you then.. you have it made! So is there a new marketing push for this? Has anyone seen advertising about companies helping +1 them?
