The homeowner with the damaged siding is probably going to end up paying for it. By the time they tried to collect from the other HO, builder, manufacturer, etc... they would probably have wasted more time & money than it is worth

That said a nice talk to the neighbor might result in an offer to help out. Personally I feel that the manufacturers, need to step up & use thicker panes of glass to help prevent this - that being said, they can easily point to all the places where this doesn't happen, due to angles and numerous other factors only affect a certain percentage of houses

I disagree. If your going to blame the neighbor, you might as well blame the installer.

The hubby replace some siding yrs ago that was damaged from the reflection of their swimming pool. Even though he advised against new siding that is what the customers wanted and they ended up with the same problem.

Hey line that side of the house with solar panels can you imagine the power you would collect from that?

I worked for a window company for a very short time in my career. We had an instance were the neighbors siding was being melted in an arch like pattern from the rise and set of the sun.
