Remodel Crazy got a call for help from a member

This led to a poem and a story about an 11 year old boy who could use a hand.

First the poem

Someday soon……

THE WINDOW
Written by Angie Langreder
Look out your window and tell me what you see
Children running, playing, enjoying a carefree life waving and smiling at you and
me
But, if you look closely you’ll notice one little boy missing
He’s there looking out the window too and just wanting to play is what he’s
wishing
From the time Hunter was born his mother was told
He will never run and play and he will be in a wheelchair until he is old
Though his body is weak our God has given him a gift of being able to walk and
play
And his mother looks out the window and says if there were only a way
So as you look out the window at the children today
Please say in your heart I can help make a way
An 11 year old boy who has overcome so many obstacles with many to come his
way
We can help make his dream come true if we just search our hearts as we look
out the window today

So think about whether you wish to help, here is the link to Hope for Hunter.

Description:

THERE IS AN IMMEDIATE NEED FOR DONATIONS TO HELP MAKE THIS PROJECT A REALITY FOR HUNTER.

Hope for Hunter is a fundraising effort to help Hunter have an indoor playroom. Hunter, was born with Mitochondrial Disease (visit www.mitoaction.org or www.umdf.org to read about this disease). He was just recently diagnosed with autonomic dysfunction as well due to having a heat stroke last summer. Hunter’s body is not able to regulate his body temperature now so his neurologist has restricted him from playing outside if the temperature, including the heat index, is over 90 degrees. In southwest Georgia, this kind of temperature usually starts in late April and can run through October. God has placed it upon our hearts to build Hunter a room, through community donations and support, where he can still be an 11 year old boy doing the things he loves most, being a kid, just he is only going to be doing them inside. This room will be attached to his house and will be heated and air conditioned. THERE IS AN IMMEDIATE NEED FOR DONATIONS TO PURCHASE MATERIALS FOR THIS PROJECT. We have a contractor ready to start building this room for Hunter at no charge, but we must have all of the materials on the site when he brings his crew in.
