Jason Whipple, preservation and restoration expert.

Owner of New Venture in West Pawlet, VT.

Preserving the past for the future.

New England is known for gentle hills, forested mountains and rocky coasts, and in the fall, leaves the color of molten glass. Its also known for having the oldest buildings in America, family homes and businesses built from before the time of George Washington, the father of our country.

It takes a special breed of craftsman to maintain and restore these historic structures which are found in towns and cities throughout New York, Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts and Connecticut, the northern New England states.

New Venture is a building preservation contractor in West Pawlet, Vermont located almost on the New York, Vermont border and not far from Lake George. This is one of the most beautiful areas in the country and its where Jason Whipple founded his company.

Jason is a dedicated building contractor and a true craftsman who moved from Syracuse, New York with his wife and settled in Vermont to live a less hectic lifestyle. This is where he discovered his love of historical buildings could also be a way to support himself.

New Ventures has restored and maintained buildings such in Bennington, Vermont, Nashua New Hampshire and Brandon, VT, all cities in this sparsely populated state. At this time the New Ventures team is restoring a resort in Dutchess County, New York.

Jason has now begun to run his own moldings in the complete millwork shop he has built in Manchester, Vermont, this allows him a greater control over the time needed to produce the millwork and to control the quality of the finished materials. Jason is a modern contractor with his love of the past and an eye on the future, facing the challenges of restoring historical buildings and meeting modern building codes.

To keep up with new improvements a preservationist must study how older buildings were put together, this means the construction, materials and techniques must be replicated to match exactly what was built 200 or even 300 years ago, while making sure the safety, comfort and energy requirements are met. Its not a job for amateurs.

If your looking for an experienced professional when restoring, Jason and New Venture will impress you with the honest and sure approach to this specialty skill set.

Preservation and historic building experts. New Venture.
